Easel Christmas Card

Easel Christmas Card
Description

This Christmas card comes with its very own built-in stand. Easel cards are easy to make and so nice to display.

To stitch the snowflake, use the large wreath pattern with the straight spokes. Only punch the outer thirteen holes in each spoke. Stitch from the innermost hole in one spoke to the outermost hole in the next spoke to the right. Bring your needle up in the next hole down on the same spoke. Stitch down in the next hole up on the first spoke. Alternate your stitches between spokes so that they criss cross and your last two stitches are in the outermost hole on the spoke to the left and the innermost hole on the spoke to the right.

after stitching the snowflake, I added a small white seed bead to each point. The decorative paper on the left side of this card came from the inside of a security envelope. I thought it was just the right pattern and color for this card. Security envelopes also work very well for iris folding.
