Iris Folding

Iris folding is the layering of folded strips of colored or patterned paper within an aperture in a spiral pattern that resembles the iris of a camera. Iris folding is one of the first card making techniques I learned and I have made several of my own patterns. I usually use giftwrap for iris folding because it is so thin, but you can use scrapbook paper or wide ribbon as well.
