Fall Flowers and Fond Thoughts
Description

A pretty bouquet of fall flowers bring with it a reminder that someone is thinking of you.

Instructions:

  • Select two shades of fall-colored scrapbook paper that coordinate with the image, one light and one dark.
  • Print one copy of the bouquet image onto beige cardstock. The image should be approx. 1 5/8" wide by 2 1/2" (see link below or use your own image). If you plan to print more than one image, make sure to leave enough room between images so that they will fit on a 2 3/4" square.
  • Use a decorative edge ruler to tear the lighter colored scrapbook paper to 4" x 5" for the background.
  • Tear a 3 1/4" square and a 3 1/4" x 1 1/2" rectangle from dark colored scrapbook paper.
  • Cut a 2 7/8" square and a 2 7/8" x 1 1/8" rectangle from beige card stock
  • Using the paper with the printed image, tear a 2 5/8" square around the image so that the image is on the left side of the square.
  • Tear a 2 5/8" x 2" rectangle from beige card stock.
  • Stamp "Thinking of You" on the rectangle.
  • Cut a short tag from the darker colored scrapbook paper (approx. 2" wide by 1 5/8" long
  • Cut a 1 3/8" x 1/2" window in the tag
  • Stamp "take care" on a small piece of beige card stock and attach it to the back of the tag so it shows through the window.
  • ink the edges of all pieces with distress ink
  • Glue it all together as shown.
  • Add a brad to the tag and a bow to the upper corner of the image.

  • Red ink
  • Walnut Stain distress ink (Ranger)
  • Decorative edge ruler (Plaid #1713)
